On Tuesday, Nov 3, 2015,  Karen Glanz, PhD, MPH, Director of the UPenn PRC, Co-Principal Investigator of The Healthy Weigh Study, and Principal Investigator of the Skin Cancer Communication Project, was interviewed on SiriusXM Business Radio’s Knowledge@Wharton. Glanz discussed the new World Health Organization’s classification of processed meats, like bacon, in the same category of cancer risk as tobacco. Dr. Glanz, a professor of epidemiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, joined Jason Riss, a marketing lecturer at the Wharton School, in a discussion about how this decision affects consumers and the food industry.
